Not wanting to undertake this task myself, I asked my local dealer for a quote. $1500 + parts. Figure Courtesy Nissan Parts are circa $500 (accumulator bottle, o-rings, seals and the TCA). I have no doubt big city prices could be triple that. So its possible the job at a Nissan dealer could approach 3 grand. Not cost effective, to say the least. A neighborhood shop would do it for less and I could buy the parts myself. So maybe then $1500 would do it, total cost. There is a job quality risk with this option. Dealers offer warranty and have big reputations to uphold. Neighborhood shops may not be as diligent. Guess I'll be waiting for spring, or let it go another year. So far its been 10 years and I wish I had a cool car for next summer. No pun intended.
